Tourist Cabin «Komarovo»

Rules for visitors
• Check-out 12 a.m. Check-in after 12 a.m.
• When checking-in make sure that all equipment and utensils entered in the list is present there.
• Inform the park ranger on-duty of any missing or damaged item.
• Rangers of the park can be found at the rangers stations at the border of the park or at lake Paanajarvi.
• Keep the cabin clean and in order.
• Keep order in the territory around the cabin: the campfire place, the gazebo, the firewood shed, the ramp, the toilet.
• Put garbage in the container. Put in the fire what can be burnt. Throw the left-over food, fish entrails, coffee and tea grounds in the toilet.
• Do not throw around cigarette butts – put them in the fire.
• Do not carve the tables, benches or other structures, do not leave bad memory of yourself for years to come.
• Use water from the nearby lakes, rivers and streams for cooking, drinking or other purposes. It is clean in all water systems in the Park and can be used without any risk to one’s health.
• Food can be cooked on the range in the cabin or outside on the campfire.
• Do not put soot-covered kettles and pots on the tables and benches. Use the special boards.
• Observe the safety rules using the iron range.
• Save the fire wood, do not make big fire.
• Observe the fire safety rules.
• Keep clean the toilet.
Rules of checking-out
• Make sure that the fire and coals in the range are extinguished.
• Tidy up in the cabin, sweep the floor, clean the table.
• Do not leave left-over food on the table or in the pot.
• Wash the kettle and pot.
• Empty the pails, pots and washbowl, especially in winter.
• Accurately stack the mattresses, pillows and blankets.
• Collect the bed linen and give it over to the staff on-duty
• Put the litter in the trash container
• Leave the toilet clean.
• Tidy up the area around the cabin.
• Make sure that the fire and coals in the range are extinguished.
• Tidy up in the cabin, sweep the floor, clean the table.
• Do not leave left-over food on the table or in the pot.
• Wash the kettle and pot.

Komarovo

The cabin is log house was built in 1996, renovated in 1998 and in 2012. It can accommodate 3 persons on 24 m2.

In the cabin there is a steel range for cooking and heating, a table, a bench, a shelf for plates, sleeping bunks. Of the kitchen utensils there is a pot, a kettle, a pail, a cup, a wash basin, a broom, a dust pan, 3 bed sets consisting of a mattress, a pillow and a blanket. Fresh linen is given in the visitor centre or by a ranger at checking-in. Near the cabin there is a wash basin, a shed with fire wood and an axe, a rake and firefighting equipment on a board.

Infrastructure

There is a campfire site with a table and benches, a trash container, a firewood shed, a toilet, a rump down to the lake, a boat and a sauna.

Sauna

The sauna is located on the bank of Sharkijarvi lake. Wooden staircase and rump lead to the water. There is a shed with a stock of firewood and an axe close by. In the sauna there are 2 basins, 2 pails, 2 water tanks, 2 scoops, a dust pan and a broom.
Use of the sauna and the boat is included in the cost of accommodation.

The boat

The boat is used by the occupants of the cabin. Life jackets will be provided at the entrance to the Park. Wearing of them in the boat is obligatory. Don’t forget to return the jackets when you leave the Park.
