Tourist Cabin «Teremok»

Rules for visitors
• Check-out 12 a.m. Check-in after 12 a.m.
• When checking-in make sure that all equipment and utensils entered in the list is present there.
• Inform the park ranger on-duty of any missing or damaged item.
• Rangers of the park can be found at the rangers stations at the border of the park or at lake Paanajarvi.
• Keep the cabin clean and in order.
• Keep order in the territory around the cabin: the campfire place, the firewood shed, the ramp, the toilet.
• Put garbage in the container. Put in the fire what can be burnt. Throw the left-over food, fish entrails, coffee and tea grounds in the toilet.
• Do not throw around cigarette butts – put them in the fire.
• Do not carve the tables, benches or other structures, do not leave bad memory of yourself for years to come.
• Use water from the nearby lakes, rivers and streams for cooking, drinking or other purposes. It is clean in all water systems in the Park and can be used without any risk to one’s health.
• Food can be cooked on the range in the cabin or outside on the campfire.
• Do not put soot-covered kettles and pots on the tables and benches. Use the special boards.
• Observe the safety rules using the iron range.
• Save the fire wood, do not make big fire.
• Observe the fire safety rules.
• Keep clean the toilet.
Rules of checking-out
• Make sure that the fire and coals in the range are extinguished.
• Tidy up in the cabin, sweep the floor, clean the table.
• Do not leave left-over food on the table or in the pot.
• Wash the kettle and pot.
• Empty the pails, pots and washbowl, especially in winter.
• Accurately stack the mattresses, pillows and blankets.
• Collect the bed linen and give it over to the staff on-duty
• Put the litter in the trash container
• Leave the toilet clean.
• Tidy up the area around the cabin.

The tourist cabin is a log house with a loft and a porch built in 2002, last time repaired in 2010. It can accommodate 6 people (minimal 4) on 24 square meters.

In the cabin there is a steel range for cooking and heating, a table, a bench, a shelf for plates, sleeping bunks downstairs and in the loft. Of the kitchen utensils there are 2 pots, 2 kettles, a frying pan, 2 pails, a mug, a wash basin, a broom, a dust pan, 6 bed sets consisting of a mattress, a pillow and a blanket. Fresh linen is given in the visitor centre or by a ranger at checking-in. In winter the internal circuits can be connected to a diesel generator.
Near the cabin there is a wash basin, a shed with fire wood and an axe, a rake and firefighting equipment on a board.

Infrastructure

There is a campfire site with a big sheltered table and benches, 2 trash containers, a firewood shed, a toilet.

Sauna

The sauna is attached to the cabin with entrance from the porch. In the sauna there are 2 basins, 2 pails, 2 water tanks, 2 scoops, a dust pan and a broom. The occupants of the cabin heat the sauna themselves. Use of the sauna is included in the cost of accommodation.
