On the 26th of October at 16.00 in Karelian State Philharmonic Society there was held a photography exhibition to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the «Paanajarvi» National park.
Photos are one of the most valuable remembrances of our journeys. A photographer can get sight of something, and then tell us about it.
Paanajarvi is an amazing part of northern Karelia, and the photographers did not miss it.
In the 19th century a famous Finnish photographer Into Konrad Inha visited Paanajarvi. He left a large photo archive and a description of Paanajarvi forests: «The forest seemed to be charmed; there seemed to be Topelius princesses, good-hearted lords and helpful dwarves. It was a secret forest castle, where a tired stranger could lie on a soft and neat moss bed without any fear.»
Today the «Paanajarvi» national park continues to draw art photographers’ attention.
Today there are presented the works of the following photographers:
How do they see this land? Why did they like northern nature?
The answers for these questions can be found in the presented photos.
Welcome!
